Fox News is reporting that a contract worker was killed when a sports utility vehicle ran into him in a ditch.
The 50-year-old victim was looking for utility lines when the vehicle hit and pinned him in the ditch, Pasadena Police investigators said.
The driver of the SUV was swerving on the road when she crashed into a ditch on Allen Genoa and Crenshaw Roads around 11:45 a.m. on Friday.
Another contract worker was with the victim, but he was able to see the incoming vehicle and get away.
The female driver was taken via LifeFlight helicopter to Hermann Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. According to investigators, the vehicle went off the roadway just after 11:30 a.m. and ended up in a ditch.
