One worker was killed Friday when a fire broke out in the Chevron Corp oil refinery in Pascagoula, Miss. The fire broke out about 2 a.m. at a cracking unit in facility, which produces over 300,000 barrels per day.
Officials reported that all other workers were accounted for after emergency workers from the plant extinguished the Mississippi fire.
The incident happened just a day after a Chevron pipeline exploded in Milford, Texas. That explosion sent flames into the air and prompted area evacuations but did not result in any injuries.
