Rescue crews pulled out an injured Texas construction worker stuck at the bottom of a trench in Fort Worth on Wednesday afternoon. The man was working at a site south of Loop 820 and east of Interstate 35W.
The man was working 5 feet within a tunnel at the bottom of a 20-foot trench when he was injured by equipment, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department. The worker was 60 feet inside the tunnel about 2:10 p.m., the time of the injury.
Rescue crews pulled the construction worker out of the trench with a stokes basket and a rope-and-pulley system. He was transported to a local hospital.
