A woman suffered serious burn injuries Tuesday when a small space heater apparently ignited a fire in her north Harris County home.
Lt. Dean Hensley, of the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, said the fire started about 8 a.m. in the woman’s travel trailer at a mobile home park at 1632 Aldine Mail Route.
A neighbor noticed the flames and rescued the woman, who appeared to be in her early 50s. She was taken to a nearby hospital. Her condition wasn’t released.
The space heater may have been too close to flammable material, Hensley said. However, the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
