A 94-foot ship carrying about 1,650 gallons of diesel fuel ran aground Friday on the North Jetty in Galveston.
The incident did not cause damage to the fuel tanks, and crews were working to remove the vessel without causing a spill. One crew member aboard the M/V Ashton T suffered a minor injury and was taken to an area hospital, authorities said.
The cause of the grounding was still under investigation.
