One Hurt, One Person Critically Injured in La Marque, Texas Car Wreck

La Marque, Texas police are investigating a two-car accident in the 8200 block of FM 1765. This car crash led to one person becoming critically injured and one with a medical condition that is unknown at this time.

The wreck was caused when a car traveling east veered across traffic lanes, crossed the center line, and collided with a westbound sport utility vehicle. The driver of the car had to be physically removed from the wreckage by rescue workers.

Both vehicles were occupied by drivers only and had no passengers. Both vehicles were extensively damaged according to the police. An ambulance took one person, believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries, to Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.
