An oilfield worker was killed Thursday in an industrial accident near Seagraves, southwest of Lubbock.
James Croft, 43, was working for K&L Oil Field Demolition demolishing structures at Venture Chemicals, Terry County Sheriff Larry Gilbreath said. Croft was operating an excavator at the time of the accident. Other workers were preparing to demolish a silo tank when it fell and landed on Croft and the equipment he was operating.
Croft, of Tyler, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
