A man has been charged with one count of intoxicated manslaughter and one count of intoxicated assault in a Saturday afternoon car accident in Galveston, Texas.
Adrian Paul Mills, 38, was traveling east on Seawall Boulevard in an Infinity Q50 SUV when he made an abrupt U-turn, striking the side of a Toyota minivan, according to Galveston police. Humble resident Ashley Boyd, 72, was killed at the scene. His wife, Alice, was taking to the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital.
Mills is being held in the Galveston County Jail on a $100,000 bond for the intoxicated manslaughter charge and $50,000 for the intoxication assault charge.
