Arlington, Texas Tractor-Trailer Crash Kills Two, Critically Injures One

Two people were killed Saturday afternoon in an auto crash with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 20 in Texas.

While moving from the highway shoulder onto the highway, the truck collided with their 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue near State Highway 360.

The Tarrant County medical examiner’s officer identified Natalie Aguilar, 18, of Garland, Texas, who died at the scene of the accident.  Oscar Zapata of Weatherford, Texas was identified Sunday according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s Web site as a second passenger who was killed in this fatal collision.  Zapata, 24 died at an Arlington hospital about an hour after the accident.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old from Garland, was taken to a Fort Worth hospital where he is listed in critical condition.  Arlington police found open beer containers inside the car.  No charges had been filed in the case, police said.

The 51-year-old truck driver from Midlothian was not injured.

The traffic deaths were the fourth and fifth in the city this year.
