One person was killed and three injured when a storage tank exploded Tuesday at a natural gas production site in western Wyoming.
The blast occurred while the natural gas storage tank, owned by Houston-based EOG Resources Inc., was being cleaned. A company spokeswoman called the incident a flash fire.
Inspectors from the Wyoming Occupational Health and Safety Administration were on their way to the site, and OSHA’s trauma team was contacting the families of those injured.
One of the injured workers was treated and released, while the other two injured remained in the University of Utah Hospital’s burn center. Their condition was unknown.
