BREAKING NEWS -- SCHECHTER, MCELWEE, SHAFFER & HARRIS, LLP has settled a Jones Act injury case for $17,755,000! The injuries sustained by our client included severe brain injuries resulting in persistent vegetative state. After all costs are deducted, the plaintiffs received cash and the funding of an annuity totaling $13,213,820.
