A Waco man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing early Sunday near Lake Waco. Unfortunately, he was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened around 1:53 a.m. at Eichelberger Crossing. Police say the driver was traveling northbound on when he lost control of the motorcycle, crashed into a ditch and was ejected.
The Department of Public Safety says Billy Edward Wright Jr., 25, of Waco, failed to negotiate a curve while he was driving his 2007 Honda Motorcycle, left the roadway, and ran into a ditch. He was thrown from the motorcycle.
