One Dead in Texas Logging Truck Accident
by Stacey E. Burke on January 05, 2010
A logging truck was killed in an accident Tuesday morning. Evidence indicates he fell asleep at the wheel, ran off the left side of the road, lost control of the vehicle which turned over, he was ejected, pinned underneath the logs, and killed when the big rig crashed near Deweyville, Texas. 66 year-old James Ashworth of Singer, Louisiana was identified as the driver of the large truck pulling a Fontaine trailer full of logs.
This particular curve in the road of Highway 87 requires drivers to pay attention. Authorities said there have been at least three other accidents on the curve this year.
